COVID-19: Return to Campus and Campus Guidelines

Dear Students,

Following an announcement by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) dated 14 September, which allows universities and colleges to resume physical classes in stages from 15 October 2021, please take note of the following:

  • Students will return to their respective campus in batches.
  • Priority to return will be given to fully vaccinated students requiring practical and lab classes, as well as those sitting for international examinations. Students who do not fall into this category will continue with online lectures and tutorials until year end.

Details and class schedule will be communicated to you by your respective Schools / Faculties / Centres.

To make the return to campus process and experience a safe and conducive one, the Management of INTI International University & Colleges would like to convey the following operational updates:

  1. Vaccination Requirement
  • In line with government directives, INTI will only allow fully vaccinated students to enter the premises. A person is considered fully vaccinated when they have passed:

    2. 28 days from the date of single dose vaccines (such as Johnson & Johnson and CanSino).
  1. Campus Entry
  • In order to enter campus, you should:
    1. Receive notification from your respective School or Faculty
    2. Submit a request to enter campus if you are not scheduled for classes
  • Upon arriving, please ensure that you:
    1. Scan the MySejahtera QR Code – only those with Fully Vaccinated, Low Risk or Casual Contact with No Symptoms status will be allowed entry
    2. Scan Campus QR Code
    3. Undergo temperature screening – only those with a temperature of below 37.5°C and have no symptoms will be allowed entry
  1. Campus Guidelines

      1. 3 ply face mask + cloth mask or
      2. 3 ply mask + face shield or
      3. N95 / KF94 / KN95 face mask
    2. Social distancing of at least one metre apart
    3. Practice 3W (Wash, Wear, Warn)

For the safety of the INTI community and also in compliance with directives from the government, it is strongly urged for all students who are eligible for vaccination to do so as soon as possible. According to the COVID-19 Immunisation Taskforce (CITF), all existing and new students who have yet to receive appointments on the MySejahtera application are eligible for walk-in vaccination (until 30 September) at the following Vaccination Centres in the Klang Valley:

  1. PPV Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC)
  2. PPV Universiti Multimedia (MMU), Cyberjaya
  3. PPV Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil
  4. PPV Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL British BMI), Gombak
  5. PPV Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC), Shah Alam

New students need to bring their offer letters and identity card. Existing students need to request a verification letter from the university or college and bring it along with their student card and identity card for vaccination by walk-in at the PPV.

Students who have yet to turn 18 are also allowed to walk-in to selected PPVs for vaccination. However, as not all walk-in PPVs are vaccinating students below 18, do call the CITF hotline at 1800-888-828 to confirm beforehand. Remember to bring along your offer letter or verification letter and have a parent or legal guardian accompany you as there will be a Consent Form to complete.

We hope everyone will continue to do their part in getting themselves and the campus ready. We look forward to seeing you soon!
